This hotel was fantastic! ! Peaceful ambiance and warm pool. The food was exceptional, especially the curry and rice. Staff were incredibly hospitable and made us feel right at home.

Unfortunately, my experience at Jungle Paradise Hotel was overshadowed by the overwhelming presence of insects. Despite the staff's efforts to spray the room and provide a plug-in coil, I ended up with numerous bug bites, making it uncomfortable to enjoy the place. The layout of the Deluxe Apartment was odd and lacked the charm I was hoping for, which only amplified my disappointment.

the hotel did have a nice pool, but it was very slippery, making it quite dangerous. the food was bland and definitely not on par with what I expected for this price. I was also shocked that I didn't receive any complimentary treatment upon arrival, it just woudl ve been nice to feel special for once.

The food at Jungle Paradise is a culinary delight! The curry and rice were particularly well-prepared, leaving us craving more. Plus, the swimming pool provided a refreshing escape after an adventure in the jungle! We also loved the spacious terrace overlooking the lush surroundings—simply gorgeous!

They only had Lion beer available, but the staff were super cool about chilling our own wine.

The room featured a huge bathroom and a warm, clean swimming pool, perfect after a safari trip. I loved the balcony that overlooked the lush jungle, creating a serene atmosphere. The staff members were incredibly kind and helpful, going out of their way to make me feel welcome. it was difficult to keep bugs and flies out of the room, especially since the cot for my baby daughter didn't have a mosquito net. Accessing the lodge was also a bit challenging. the road leading to it was isolated and not paved. I wish there had been more options for evening music during dinner to set a relaxed vibe.

Request a room away from the light sources to minimize insect activity, especially in evening hours. The warm swimming pool is a lovely touch post-safari.

The presence of numerous bugs was unsettling, leading to an uncomfortable experience throughout the night. the pool appeared dated and lacked the upkeep one would expect, and dining options were limited, with western choices particularly uninspiring and overpriced. Couple that with odd service charges on everything purchased, and it felt less like a vacation and more like a hassle.

The jungle view from our balcony was mesmerizing.

the pool is a bit slippery (had to be careful! ), but the room was huge and clean. Lasa, the safari driver was fantastic and spotted a leopard! The food was served individually, which I really liked!

The staff were incredibly accommodating, truly enhancing our stay. Loved the proximity to the national park for an early morning safari! The food was authentic and flavorful, making every meal a delight.

It was just an appropriate option for a short layover in Udawalawe with definitely value for money. The swimming pool was really refreshing after a long day in the heat. Try to request a room away from the light sources to minimize insects at night.

This place really is a hidden gem! The balcony off our room, looking into the lush jungle, made for an unforgettable evening, just sitting there and soaking in the sounds of nature. The staff were so hospitable, even arranged our safari for us at a fantastic price and provided handy tips for our stay.

It wasn’t really inexpensive but worth every penny.
